Another pinner says: Hot Vinegar and Dawn Soap! Seriously, I saw this on Pinterest and decided to try it on my white shower tile...WOW! 1 cup of HOT Vinegar (microwave 1-2 min) and 1 cup of blue DAWN liquid soap. Shake into bottle and creates a gel that is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

How to get your dirty whites clean again... HOT HOT HOT water, 1 cap of laundry detergent, 1 cup powdered dish washer detergent, 1 cup bleach, 1/2 cup borax. Tell you what, you have to rewash it once to put softener in but it's the whitest you'll ever see your whites. If you omit the bleach it works great to get stains out of colors too (baby spit up is no longer a stain on OLD clothes)

Hope this works! to get rid of the nasty black gunk in your drain: 1. Put a pot of water to boil. 2. Meanwhile pour baking soda down the drain. Baking soda has the ability to neutralize fatty acids so it will work and eating away the grime while you are waiting for the water to boil. 3. Once the water has reached a rolling boil remove it from the stove and pour it down the drain. 4. Let the water and baking soda work at decomposing and sterilizing the grime for 10 minutes. 5. After 10 minutes has expired pour 1 cup of bleach down the drain to completely kill any remaining mildew or bacteria. Because we use our sinks multiple times on a daily basis I recommend repeating this process every few months. Repeating this process on a regular basis will keep the "creepy black stuff" from accumulating and clogging your sink. It will also keep the nasty mildew smell at bay.

The best oven cleaner! Cover bottom of oven with baking soda, then pour vinegar so it's all wet. Let sit around 20 minutes or so then wipe all of it out with damp cloth or sponge. I leave my oven door open too. After drying you may see some white residue, wipe again.

Here's a great blog on cleaning and maintaining your home. I love how she has a notebook and goes through the house like a prospective buyer. List everything that needs attention. Why should your house only look great when it's up for sale. By breaking it down into managable lists, everyone can have a beautifully clean, well maintained home!
