Aprons come in all sizes so get comfy ones for the kids. I suggest avoiding vinyl ones for the younger kids because they are hot and sticky. Yes they are easier to clean up but very hot.

I absolutely LOVE oil pastels and we use them quite often in class. This is a HUGE essential in my classroom.
I like using this paper for all drawing activities. My students use them for free tim drawing and it's quite sturdy for folding, gluing and painting on.
I always order quite a bit of Manila paper because it's so versatile. Drawing, free time paper, folding it to make paper airplanes, oil pastels look great on it--I love it!
This goes without say--construction paper in all sorts of sizes is an essential!
