On March 21st, 2011 Bruce Rosenberg was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma. One of the first things that came to mind was 'have ice cream for breakfast'. It was a mantra of sorts, a metaphor for living. Bruce wanted people to think of this day as a "An affirmation that everyone will vow to live life and not take even the small things for granted". Even if you don't 'do ice cream'- try to do something silly. Please join the event on Facebook, his widow is watching the numbers attending.

Add baking soda to the water when you hard boil eggs. It raises the pH of the water and makes them easier to peel by reducing the albumen's ability to stick to the shell. Nice tip!
