JP Rennquist I was thinking today about just how painful it is to be excluded, to be kept in the dark about a fun party, or a joke, or to be the butt of that joke, as if you don't know what they're laughing about. I think this is why I despise secrecy and lies so much. It keeps people apart, isolated.
Marty Coleman I remember that feeling as well. My daughter, who is in college, feels it sometimes when it's not intended by her friends. Often it is a construct in our heads about what is happening and people's motivation. It's always good to check those two things against each other to make sure you have it right.
