Champagne and Grapes- a tradition in Spain. They mark the New Year by eating a dozen grapes at midnight and they are used as a predictor for the year ahead. Sweet grapes represent a good month and sour grapes a less-than-lucky one!
The most important part of the layering is making sure the dressing and the spinach (or whatever 'leaf' you choose) don't touch. As long as they stay separate, these salads can be made up to 4 days in advance and will stay fresh in the fridge with a lid on. This is one of my tricks to eating salad everyday for lunch at work. I make a few jars on Sunday night and just grab one to bring to work everyday. When you're ready to eat, just shake it up.
Fruit and Vegetable Table by Amy Atlas -- how smart is this, seen so many dessert trays but not an iteration for veggies! Will need to try this out. -- Naveen

i like the idea of using a glass instead of a bowl for serving...this would be a cute way to serve say, mini donuts and milkshakes

Candle Stick Apothecary Jars. You will need 3 candlesticks. These came in a set at Ross for $10. They were primed, then spray painted green. The jars were old Fry's salsa jars soaked in bleach solution and labels peeled off. The lids were spray painted to match the candlesticks. Lastly, the jars were glued onto the candlesticks with gorilla glue.
