I don't know why I love trees. I dream of laying back under a mighty oak or redwood to simply draw or paint its trunk, branches and leaves. Could it be... the fact it grew from a tiny seed reaching it's lofty heavenly view? Its deep roots that connect it to earth and nutrients? ... keeping it grounded and secure. The various stages of life it presents through the seasons? The security and it offers man, animals, insects and plants? The branches that stretch out reaching for new heights.
