Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Combine citrus/vinegar solution half/half with water and use for cleaning. Works on floors, tile, fixtures, etc. Smells good and is tough on scum! Best of all there are no chemicals.

The best oven cleaner! Cover bottom of oven with baking soda, then pour vinegar so it's all wet. Let sit around 20 minutes or so then wipe all of it out with damp cloth or sponge. I leave my oven door open too. After drying you may see some white residue, wipe again.
A bundle of chalk hung in a closet will absorb extra moisture and keep clothing fresh and dry, and takes up much less room than an electric dehumidifier. Read more at Marthastewart.com: Spring-Cleaning Rooms – Martha Stewart

To get your drain running again (without resorting to chemicals worthy of a hazmat suit) pour ½ cup soda, then ½ cup vinegar, down a clogged drain. Cover it with a wet cloth, wait 5 minutes, uncover, and flush with steaming-hot water.

Easiest... Put aluminum foil in a bowl, pour the grease in. When it hardens, roll up the foil and throw it out! Speed it up by putting bowl in freezer

Diana McNally Nicole, does this actually work?!
Nik Hak I haven't tried it, but it couldn't hurt - could it?

Take your favorite liquid fabric softener and soak an old hand towel or flour cloth completely with it. Wring it out and let it dry completely, then throw it in with your next load. This mega-fabric softener sheet should be good for at least 40 loads of laundry WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!

Clean your bathtub with grapefruit and salt. I tried this and it worked amazing and smelled even better! Warning: It might scratch some surfaces so test a small area first.

Every single person I know who either owns or does laundry for someone who wears white undershirts needs to be aware of this. It's going to save us all a bazillion dollars.
