Moon sand. Just 8 cups of flour and 1 cup of baby oil, really soft and easy to clean up.

4 cups sand + 2 cups cornflour + 1 cup of water = moon sand! Who knew?

A really neat idea, both as a short craft and for introducing the ideas of mindfulness, following the breath, and returning to this moment - in children. Just 1 TB of glitter per cup of water, and an extra dash or two of glitter for fun, in a jar.

Snowy day activity: Fill bottles with food coloring and water; go outside and paint. I've got to remember to do this... Now we just need snow.

genius: paint pages, make it easy to say “yes” to painting, take them when you travel, hikes or picnics!  All you need is some  watercolor paper and small squirt of watercolor paint (don't need much water color paint goes a long way plus it won't stain clothes, pretty much washes out of most everything). allow a few days to dry. Then when you are ready to paint just add water.
