Tea Tree deodorant with Cocoa and Shea. About this recipe: It is basically the total opposite of other recipes. It stays solid at room temperature. It goes on light and creamy. The recipe is made with butters and waxes, no oils, so it keeps pit stains at bay. It's naturally antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, cicatrisant {so if you ever knick your delicate under arm area, you'll heal quicker and won't have marks}, a natural bug repellent, keeps odor in check.

Put two caps full of vanilla extract in a coffee cup, then place it in the oven at 300 degrees for one hour. Within twenty minutes the whole house smells like Heaven. It's actually a common realtor trick.

Rebekah Alger Baking soda works great as a toothpaste! It even whitens well!! :)
Natalie We used it for a while, but I was a little concerned it might be too abrasive for long term use so we switched to coconut oil. This has both, so I think it will be gentler but have the best of both worlds. :)

De-tarnish ALL your silver ALL at once... line your sink with aluminum foil, add 1/2 c table salt, 1/2 c. baking soda, fill with hot water, then dump in all your silver! Let sit for about 30 min. The tarnish all transfers to the foil! Thanks, Susan Branch!

Orange peel infused white vinegar for better-smelling natural cleaner (also gets a boost from the citrus oil). Let sit up to 2 weeks, strain, and dilute with water in spray bottle (3/4 water, 1/4 orange-vinegar).

Ever had a pair of pants that the zipper wouldn't stay zipped? Brilliant!
Lots of cute ideas of things you can mail that are under 13 ounces (meaning you can stick stamps on and throw in the mailbox!) so so awesome.

MATTRESS spring cleaning:pour about 1 cup of baking soda into a mason jar and drop in 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Put on the lid and shake up the jar.Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress and let it sit. I leave it for an hour or more, usually the time it takes for me to finish washing all the bedding and press the bed skirt. Using the hose end of your vacuum and an upholstery attachment, thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mites and other nasty things. The baking soda helps draw up any moisture and deep dirtiness. It deodorizes and leaves the mattress smelling fresh and clean. I also love the faint scent of lavender left by the essential oil.

Draw on sandpaper with crayolas, iron the image on to a tshirt and viola! you have a cheapo way to kill some time, and a cute apparel item. Have to try this.

Love this! Each person chooses a ball, completes the task, then chooses another one. After 30 minutes, whoever has the most balls gets a prize -- like getting to pick a movie. Such a great idea!

Amanda Alger If you put a dab on lightbulbs, they'll make the house smell too. Putting some in a small pot of water does the trick as well. Those are things Mom had us do to make our house smell nice when it was on the market, and she said it was better than any sprays because it just smelled more like baking. :) Mon used to be a realtor, and she said she told clients to do that or bake not spray artificial things because that looks like covering up something.
Amanda Alger Oops forgot to say the small pot of water/vanilla goes on the stove. :D
