By that time, any grass and weed seeds that were present in the soil on planting will be dead. It’s green, it’s cheaper than fabric, and when you decide to remove or redesign the bed later on, you will not have the headache you would with fabric.

Pruning Standard, & Bush Plum Trees. To avoid the risk of Silver Leaf Disease, always prune plum trees when they are growing strongly. Mid-June is a good time. The pruning of standard, half-standard, & bush plum trees is the same, with the exception of the height at which the main stem is pruned to encourage the formation of branches. The maiden tree main stem should be pruned in June to 3 ft. above soil level for a bush tree, to 4 ft. for a half-standard, & to 6 ft. for a full-standard tree. ++

Spring is coming and this is the BEST Weed Spray. 3 gallons for $4.00 Worked better than Round Up & killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle.
