Though centered on deep Christian meaning, Easter has evolved through the years into a secular holiday. Popular customs include coloring eggs, wearing new clothes, having a traditional Easter meal, exchanging Easter baskets filled with chocolates and other goodies, an Easter egg hunt, the Easter bunny, and an Easter parade. Gone is wearing your "Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it." Too bad . . . it was such a lovely tradition. ♥
