Halloween

Halloween dates back to the Celts of England, Scotland, and Ireland. They held a festival at the end of summer, called Samhain, to celebrate the harvest. The Celts believed that during Samhain the division between the two worlds—living and dead—became very thin, and hostile supernatural forces were active and free to wander as they wished. These days, it's the neighborhood kids who roam around on All Hallow's Eve. They go door-to-door looking for treats, parties are held with spooky and macabre themes, and everyone has a frightfully delightful time. ♥
