Gemma Round people seem to worry too much about keeping food in the fridge. My mother-in-law never puts eggs in the fridge, and they always get eaten loong before they'd ever go bad.

Johnathan Spencer I thought so too, but, after reading a little, it seems only eggs that are bought refrigerated have to be refrigerated. Farm fresh eggs are okay not refrigerated. Apparently eggs in America are washed of their natural protective coating and then washed in oil, thereby now requiring them to be refrigerated.
Melissa Chard Fresh eggs will age one week for everyday left at room temp. They do last longer the store bought eggs but they should still be refridgerated.
