I read this once. Good reminder! "One of my most important food shopping tips ever--those annoying stickers on fruits and veggies tell you A LOT! 4 numbers mean they were conventionally grown, 5 numbers starting with number 8 means they are genetically modified (GMO), and 5 numbers starting with 9 means they were organically grown (no pesticides or nasty GMOs)"

Donna Dawe Well it's nice to see that I will eat 20 of these on a weekly basis, 3 on a daily basis.
put a sock on it!! literally, fill a clean sock with long grain rice and perhaps a few drops of oil (mentholyptus for sinus or peppermint for a headache or... ) when heating in micro for 45 sec be sure to put 1/2 mug of water in with it to prevent rice from burning

Twila Vencatasamy Wes and I have been giving and taking detox baths when the family gets sick for the past five years. I can feel the difference almost right away!!
Patty-Jean Wow! My mom's main reference book for health, when we were growing up was "Back to Eden", written almost 100yrs ago - and baths are a major treatment for almost everything in it.
Jen Grisim wierd...I found that book in our 100 year old house that we just bought....
Patty-Jean Seriously @Jen , that is fantastic! Any other interesting books up there?

Donna Dawe My issue is that I would want a whole wall like this for all the dried herbs I want.
Awesome! Fight colds and flu with this powerful stuff!

Twila Vencatasamy awesome. we all have throat infections right now. I should give this a try! (I grew up with my Dad eating cloves of garlic as soon as he felt something coming on...it's stinky but it always works!)
Patty-Jean Hey @Twila Vencatasamy I like this one, because it's not ingested. It's to rub on your feet and perhaps chest! But it is really powerful!
Donna Dawe time to may myself some of this!
Make your own lotion. I just did and I never have to buy lotion again.

The Miracle Mask. This DIY mask, made of nutmeg, honey, and cinnamon, is calming and soothing for stressed-out skin – in addition, it smells absolutely amazing! The secret? Nutmeg and honey act as natural anti-inflammatories, which can reduce swelling and redness in skin. They’re also great for soothing acne scars and preventing infection. In addition, the nutmeg and cinnamon also work to exfoliate your skin when you wash this mask off.

Coralee Gingras you'll have to let me know if this is as amazing as it sounds (if you try it)
Patty-Jean I did try! Of course right after birth, it wasn't as glamorous as I had imagined, but it was soothing, and I think I will make it a practice if or when we have another baby!
