measurement unit the third grade children heard a story about Noah’s ark, and in the story the ark’s measurement was revealed: 300 cubits. This winter, in their study of measurement, they learned that a cubit is the distance from the elbow to the middle fingertip. Their main lesson books have diagrams showing that there are four palms in a cubit (measured width-wise), and there are four digits (the width of a finger) in a palm.

How to make this teepee, very cheap and about 30 minutes to make. King or queen size sheet (from thrift store), 6' wooden or bamboo garden stakes, some rope, safety pins, and glue gun.

Use glue, salt, and watercolor. The glue makes the colors rise from the paper and the salt creates a 'starburst' look.
