Pretty sure this is the same granny square pattern every time, but the color variation makes it look amazingly graphic and modern!

I kind of doubt I'll ever make one, at least not in the next year+, but I love the idea of sewing a tie from whatever fabric you love! Truly unique. Who knows, maybe I'll totally fall in love with sewing this summer and go nuts with stuff like this?

I definitely don't see myself doing the silver leaf thing, but I love this DIY'd tray and want to incorporate the silhouette idea when I embellish the plain Ikea trays we got!

Great list of top 5 internet crafting/DIY websites! Shopping, selling, resources, ideas, how-to, supplies...I'm already familiar with 2 out of the 5 (Ravelry & Etsy), but I definitely want to keep the other 3 in mind for future needs!

So cute for a nursery light!! I'm in love. And I want to make the bunting and just embellish everything with it...crib, changing table, bookcase, window valance...

I liked this until I looked at it more closely and learned that the stripe is made out of sewn-on yarn! Now I love it! Could be an awesome way to use yarn scraps.
This is a balloon stretched over a votive glass! Most clever bud vase ever. And so cute and modern to boot!

I used bgpatterns.com to create this tile for my blog's background! You pick from a bunch of repeatable images, and pick the foreground & background colors.

Late to the bandwagon but finally in love with this knitting pattern, except that I want to use the concept to make a square baby blanket. How about 4 square panels using this pattern, sewn together so the ridges form concentric diamonds, finished off with an i-cord border? Also potentially a manly scarf in grey tones, or a pillow cover for my tullsta armchairs' back pillows!

These bags inspired me to ask my mom to teach me to sew this summer! I plan to start with the bottom right market tote.
