I love to sing, knit, crochet, read, cook, and play house. I have a super awesome husband who is very handy, and we both like to plan (and occasionally do) lots of DIY projects around our home, ...
Pinterest is an online pinboard.
Organize and share things you love.
This is the Baby Gap dress I fell in love with, but am unwilling to spend $35 on. Maybe if we didn't already have Easter dress options, but...no. Boo.

Meredith Askey And they'd be easy to modify with leather on the bottom for toddlers!! I love this sooooo much...
Might use already-owned light yellow paint from master bedroom for the nursery to save $$, but also I love the hanging orbs above the crib! Still haven't decided what to do, but I will be DIYing a mobile or something like this...

Meredith Askey Also I like the way yellow looks as a background to pink & green, and I think turquoise would look good in the mix as well.
They look like jellies, but they're Crocs! So cute, I want a pair...
Yet another reason to learn to sew!

Pretty sure this is the same granny square pattern every time, but the color variation makes it look amazingly graphic and modern!

I kind of doubt I'll ever make one, at least not in the next year+, but I love the idea of sewing a tie from whatever fabric you love! Truly unique. Who knows, maybe I'll totally fall in love with sewing this summer and go nuts with stuff like this?

I've been making these exact plant hangers out of clothesline! We're going to hang some plants in the carport this summer, but I think we might end up hanging a few in the big living room window as well...it'll be perfect for my small but growing spider plant!

I definitely don't see myself doing the silver leaf thing, but I love this DIY'd tray and want to incorporate the silhouette idea when I embellish the plain Ikea trays we got!

Black-eyed pea salad. Posts like this (and blogs like this) make me feel like it's totally possible to cut out prepared/processed foods 100%, and eat mostly vegetables and a lot less meat.

Another project that looks so easy! Hanging from a ceiling in a nursery, these would make a great mobile, or I could see hanging it in an otherwise empty/awkward/unused corner to brighten it up!

Great list of top 5 internet crafting/DIY websites! Shopping, selling, resources, ideas, how-to, supplies...I'm already familiar with 2 out of the 5 (Ravelry & Etsy), but I definitely want to keep the other 3 in mind for future needs!

How perfect would this be as the inspiration/centerpiece of a girl's bedroom, paired with the other elephant and the giraffe by the same artist, and with the rest of the bedroom fabrics from the same color pallette??

I want to DIY paint a tree very similar to this on the wall of our future nursery.

The rest of the room doesn't thrill me (although I like the minimalist/open stairs), but I am in love with the rafter book storage!! and also with the rafters painted white instead of hidden with drop ceiling ugliness.

Rachel Rooney Would be so cute if tree extended to ceiling, wouldn't it?? And you could hang a mobile from the "branches"!
Meredith Askey YES! and I think I want to paint on a tree silhouette (as opposed to buying a wall sticker), but this is more the shape I was envisioning. I'd like to get a projector, trace it on the wall with pencil, and then fill it in with paint. I was also thinking wall hooks or pegs in the same color as the tree to blend in with the branches so you could hang things in the branches, or shallow shelves, so I LOVE the idea of the mobile!!
Meredith Askey (with the projector I could make the right tree shape as big as I wanted on the wall)
This is a balloon stretched over a votive glass! Most clever bud vase ever. And so cute and modern to boot!

I'm probably going back to Ikea for 3 more of these to use outside for lettuce & herbs that are less accessible to hungry rabbits. Ceramic pots this size at garden stores go for at least $40, but these are only $10!

The dense, random collage of frames is what I had in mind for our entryway wall, but I'm having a hard time making it work with our all-the-same-two-sizes frames...so I think I'll be going for dense but less random than @Sherry @ Young House Love's beautiful hallway!

Late to the bandwagon but finally in love with this knitting pattern, except that I want to use the concept to make a square baby blanket. How about 4 square panels using this pattern, sewn together so the ridges form concentric diamonds, finished off with an i-cord border? Also potentially a manly scarf in grey tones, or a pillow cover for my tullsta armchairs' back pillows!
