I don't use my pan for bacon, so no problem there!!! I didn't have any complaints, but I grew up i a house that doubled the salt in the chocolate chip recipe, so maybe I didn't notice!!

Pinning this for my husband. He has fond childhood memories of being with his mom at work as she waited tables. They would bring him skillet cookies with ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream. Maybe I will surprise him one night. :o)

Christi. Yes it will cook differently. Cast iron heats very hot and stays hot for a long time.
