just make sure that you get
"bakers chocolate" or baking chocolate!! (It will coat the strawberries like a dream!)

yes, don't use chocolate chips. They don't set up. And yes you can refrigerate them but they start getting mushy the second day. I make them all the time

It helps too if you put part of a head of lettuce in the container you are using to push the skewers into so they stand up where you want them. Green foam would work too but cover it in plastic wrap so you don't get it on the strawberries.

m. So I tried pure veggie oil and it worked like a charm. No greasiness and no taste change either. Hope this helps I'm case any other amateurs try.

The U.S. won't allow Kinder Eggs to be sold here because they say the eggs/toys inside are a choking hazard. Even though there's no way to miss the giant plastic egg once you bite into the chocolate. Sad day.

My husband and will be married 17 years on Valentines day and I think I just might get creative and make these for him :)

I ordered this for Valentines Day from Edible Arrangement. If you are crafty you could easily do this yourself, Edible Arrangements is a tad bit pricy but it would be a major FAIL if I tried to recreate this LOL

@ Sarah Hunt - I know 3 places in KY & IL that you can get Kinder eggs w/ the toy inside. Maybe you have a local law, but they are definitely available in the US... all the places i know to get them are smaller ethnic markets.
