So ~ we got this wrong! We said how pretty these peonies were ~ but were informed they're roses! Why can't we tell the difference? Do garden roses look VERY similar to peonies or is it our imagination? Anyone ... ? If yes - what about cost ... in a bouquet, do these roses cost less than peonies?

Erin Rochelle These are "garden roses"... and look a lot like peony. I actually see them mis-named on Pinterest all the time :) They are pricier than regular roses, but not quite as much as peony :)
Amy Potter Country Way They do look similar, but the leaf is the giveaway! Depends on the season as far as price. Sometimes the rose will be cheaper, sometimes peony. Right now, in April, probably pretty close. I would be selling them both for around 12.00 a stem, but soon peony will be much less! Mine are starting to bloom in the garden!
Bridal bouquet I created with white/ivory, blues, browns and greens.

A Glamelia is a composite bouquet that was pretty popular in the 1940′s and 50′s. It is a floral arrangement that is assembled to resemble a giant flower. I find the Glamelia bouquet absolutely stunning and am pleased to announce it’s regaining its popularity
