course runs from early Jan to mid-May, progressing through the key points of a hive’s lifecycle. The sessions start in the winter when new beekeepers learn basic information about the bees themselves, the proper equipment they will need, & how to assemble their hives. As the season progresses, new beekeepers learn how to introduce bees to their new hives, how to monitor the progress of their bees, when to add new components to their hives, & so on to pest control & finally harvesting the honey!

I love this science curriculum. It approaches "big" subjects in a fun, very age appropriate way. This first book is great for a crystal unit study.

reserve a coner of chalboard for the daily almanac - students check the newspaper to record the weather conditions. Other ideas: Chart the high and low temperatures. Chart the difference between the high and low at different times of the year. Calculate the ratio of sunny days to cloudy days — weekly, monthly, yearly. Create a bar graph of the number of minutes of daylight in each day. Keep track of how often the weatherman was correct. Create a pie chart of the weather conditions — monthly, yearly.

The Absolute BEST Crock pot Beef Stroganoff Recipe, the BEST!! Ingredients: 2 pounds cubed stew meat, 2 cans Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup, 1 diced large onion, 2-3-4 T Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 C water, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 t Garlic Salt. Directions: In the slow cooker stir in all the ingredients, except the meat and Cream Cheese. Once combined add the meat and mix together. Cook on Low for 8 hours. Cut up the cream cheese into cubes just before serving and turn crock pot on high. Stir the cream cheese in until all combined. Let set for 10 minutes. Serve over egg noodles. Or mashed potatoes.

Amy Miller I LOVE this recipe! We call it beefy noodles. I add a can of mushrooms to it to make it extra hearty. Happy cooking!
Cheri Newman this recipe was SO yummy! I actually used a chuck roast rather than stew meat. I think a chuck is much more tender and tasty! I cute it into pieces the size of "large stew meat" -- it was a huge hit! Can't say that it's low cal, but sure is a comfort food.
pretty idea to hang origami turtles beeds inbetween

Top 5 Must-Have Waldorf Toys totally agree with this list. Some might seem strange like the silks but my kids LOVED them both sexes. These are such open ended toys the kids can imagine so many things with them.
