Cut up pipe-cleaners and place them in a bottle. Use a magnet to manipulate them. kids will stay busy for hours.

what an awesome idea!!! For the kids at the restaurant while you're waiting for your food: DIY busy wallet! pick up a cheap wallet. fill it with pictures, scrap scrapbook papers, stickers, and various treasures. Good idea!

All you need is some watercolor paper and tubes of watercolor paint. Let the dots dry and then you have portable watercolors for the kids, just add a watery brush (or cotton swab) and presto!
