MARKETING ELECTIVE SURGERY TO AFFLUENT WEEKEND RESIDENTS Northern Dutchess Hospital is located in the bucolic and historic town of Rhinebeck, New York. It’s an upscale bedroom community for NYC commuters, affluent baby boomers and weekend-home owners. We saw an opportunity to promote the hospital’s Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery services to this upwardly mobile audience. Sophisticated humor appealed to the target’s vanity, a key motivation for any elective cosmetic surgery.

SECURING A MARKET LEADER’S POSITION The heart Center at Hudson Valley Heart was already the largest cardiology practice in their local market. To grow their business, they needed to expand their influence into surrounding areas. Competition in the neighboring Westchester and NY metro markets was fierce, dominated by larger, more sophisticated practices. With its humorous appeal to at-risk patients, this campaign helped secure their brand position as the region’s first choice for cardiac care.
