not sure about the use of oil pastels but i do love the idea of strands of color "Use oil pastels on sections of hair, then coat with hairspray - temporary color for brunettes." < yes, please!!!

Tina Brummel Crozier I bet it's chalk pastels... you wouldn't need hairspray on oil pastels... :) I make art :) We actually use aqua net after working with chalk pastels as a cheaper version of art fixitive :)
all you have to do is put the headband on top of your hair (while your hair is down) and then grab your hair at the back and tuck it into the headband. The messier the better!
