I did one cup each. Put it in a squirt bottle, shook it up - sprayed it on and let it sit for about an hour - came back and with a soft sponge, it wiped right off!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Say to clean cabinets, 1st heat slightly damp sponge/cloth in microwave for 20 - 30 sec. until it's hot. Put on a pair of rubber gloves, spray cabinets w/ an all-purpose cleaner containing orange oil, then wipe off cleaner w/ hot sponge. This should make the kitchen look & smell wonderful too!

Add baking soda to the water when you hard boil eggs. It raises the pH of the water and makes them easier to peel by reducing the albumen's ability to stick to the shell. Nice tip!

Good info on why NOT to mix Dr. Bonner's with vinegar. If you mix your own cleaners, READ THIS!!! Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap and vinegar can clean an entire house. They are effective, versatile, biodegradable, and non-toxic. But the sole point of this post is to emphasize that these two should not be mixed directly. This is true for the castile soap and any acid - any vinegar or lemon juice.

Followed the directions to clean old stains that were on the carpet when I moved into the apt. The carpet had just been cleaned when I moved in, but the spots were very obvious. I tried the method described and the improvement was at least 90%!

14. To get the water spots off of chrome faucets, after cleaning rub them with a piece of waxed paper- it will keep the water spots and fingerprints from sticking to the clean metal. You can also use a piece of waxed paper on your swifter sweeper. Just rip off a piece the size of the sweeper, attach, and wipe away. The dirt sticks to the paper- so much cheaper than buying the refill kits.
