Brilliant! It's a shower curtain (liner) taped to the kitchen floor. The road is drawn on with permanent marker and the kids can color to their hearts content then drive their cars on it.

Encourage reading at home. When kids bring the chain back, CELEBRATE! Add their picture to the "I read 100 books in second grade!" wall.

Mind Jar. It is really easy to make. The goal is that when they are feeling out of control, they shake the jar, then sit and watch the glitter settle in the water. When the glitter settles, we finish our meditation. This one is a really great technique to use in lieu of timeout. I need this TODAY.

Robin Lawson Ethan gave me a whole box of these for my birthday. His grandma helped him make them in her muffin tins. :)
