Koko's Kitten by Dr. Francine Patterson ~ photographs by Ronald H. Cohn, published by Scholastic, 1985 (Had this when I was a kid. Fabulous true story.)
It gave me nightmares and I barely slept for a week, but no one else seemed to have that reaction. Fantastic writing and a great story, though.
This doesn't fit perfectly anywhere on my page, but they're books, so ... Very cool, though.

Read this and read The Hours. It doesn't matter in which order, though this obviously was published first.
Loved it. But if you read it, you have to also read Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.
I didn't think I'd like this, but after I finished I immediately wanted to re-read it!

If I could never again read any other books but these, I would read every day and be a happy woman.

A classic for a reason. Loved every depressing moment of the unabridged version. There's no other way to read it!
