great tip for growing potatoes at the end of the post. Cut about an inch under the eye of a potato that's sprouting in your pantry. Leave the slice on the counter or outside safe for a day or two to "heal" over a bit then plant in an area where the soil is mulched well. In a few months you'll have lots of potatoes from that one little slice.
