Jenn Lasko I remember coming home from work on day trying to figure out what all the white stuff all over the place was. I'd barely gotten in the front door when the president of the neighborhood association showed up to say, "Your boys WILL clean this up by tomorrow, right???" Well, they had fun playing in the hise and sprinklers that evening too, I guess! :D

A couple weeks ago, 17-year-old Canadian teens Mathew Ho and Asad Muhammad successfully sent a Lego man and four cameras to the edges of space on a weather balloon and captured photographs of the figurine posing with a Canadian flag at 78,000 feet

{Agree or Disagree?} "My contention is that creativity now is as important in education as literacy, and we should treat it with the same status." Please take a moment to watch the video or scan the bullet points summarizing the TED Talk. :-)

Danielle Sirek This is Csikszentmihalyi's flow theory, it is fantastic to remember no matter what you are learning or teaching. :)
Rowena Murillo truthfully, i was thinking of it more for me, but my kids learning board was the best fit. But it's good for encouraging my kids, too.
A lot of neat Science Foldables - Magnets, energy, forces, motion, light and color.

Eileen Christofferson My son did something similar to this last winter for his wedding. He colored the ice blue and made a dip for a candle and set them outside the church to guide the guests. It was beautiful.
Whiteflash Diamonds Great project for my kids!
Crystal Morrow I make "ice bowls" for new years eve and put a candle in it to shine in the new year. We LOVE them!
Eileen Christofferson I love that Crystal!
cb These are so beautiful!
Picasso's bulls. when i was a teacher, i did a lesson on abstraction with photocopies of these bulls.

Cesar A. Interesting how bull,s member and jewels evolve in Picaso's sketchs
Rowena Murillo Picasso had a certain focus in his life surrounding the male member and jewels, I think.
Squirrelgrrrl Chagall painted true love, Picasso painted sex and desire.
Cool summer fun- frozen batman and robin...save them by squirting the ice with water guns.

Wendy Parker It made sense to me..... I love quick logic
Ashley Gregory It's not going either way. It's stopped. That's my logic.
Kath Gibson @ Brittany NO-one said they were riding the bus alone?? Also, I thought it was going left, and I live in the UK but by the explanation of the door, that wouldn't make sense. It's more likely something to do with spatial awareness or left brain/right brain type thinking.
Rowena Murillo No one said they were riding the bus at all. Perhaps they were going to pick up their big siblings at the bus stop with their moms. Don't be so quick to be upset. And by the way, I decided that the bus was coming straight at me. What does that say?
Randi Lansford Umm - it's just a picture with a question that requires logic. It is not an advertisement for preschoolers riding a bus. And it didn't say anyone was on the bus, it just asked which way it was going! Good grief!
Make your own rock candy - good science fair project!

Kelly Soda Nifty!
Amy Maguire Is this the next step in "watching paint dry?"
Talitha Housen @Ashley Spencer we were just talking about this for your science booth!
After Loralee Leavitt's daughter wondered what would happen if she poured Nerds into a glass of water, the Kirkland mom decided to turn her kitchen into a learning lab by conducting science experiments, using the kiddos’ sweet stash. "Each kid got to save a few favorite treats for later, then we got to work," Leavitt says. Journaling their findings, they dissolved, melted, froze, floated, and stretched to their hearts content. The biggest surprise? M&M;'s sink, but the letter "m" peels off and floats.

For children with pencil grasp problems: attach a small "charm" to a pencil with a rubber band for the child to hold with their ring and pinky fingers to help them use a correct tripod grasp

Bernadette Wyzermickzierkiyizki Why does it matter? I've never grasped a pencil "correctly"- I still don't. I use other fingers than my thumb and first two. And it doesn't change a thing.
It's called the ransom rubbage box. If you leave your stuff out after 1 warning, mom puts it inside this box and you can't get it back until you draw a job from the envelope- and do it!- doing this! I love the list of 'jobs' :)

Angela Sims Wondering if this will work for teens too - ha!
Danielle McGrath Need to do this for my husband!
Amanda Marra SO STEALING THIS IDEA, my windows, walls, moulding and floor trim will be so clean by christmas!!
Amy Dixon Ewell Forget giving the kids one warning. Ask if they'd like to pick up the toys they'd like to keep. Then if they don't pick them up, toys get put in here and they choose the chore.
Fetching pins…
Manda Lynn i got this for the holidays and the pics are amazing!!!
Nadine Mathews Prather I've had this book for years and still love looking at it.
