Pinterest is an online pinboard.

Imagine this: the 70s, New York City, Morningside Heights, hippie bohemian buddhist parents, genteel poverty. Dad a photographer, filmmaker, Columbia student, mom a bread making, organic peanut butter buying, green thumbed stay at home mom. Big sis and little brother and I left to grow like weeds. Trying to re-imagine it all.

Monica Ebbenga Funny coincidence: less than an hour ago I cleaned up from a card game at my Mom's and noticed the deck of cards had been purchased at Woolworth for $1.39. I used to like eating there.
Michelle Wynn Our Woolworths had balloons behind the lunch counter that you could throw a dart at and win a hot fudge sundae.

Monica Ong Reed "A truly beautiful person is one who is good at discovering beauty." - Daisaku Ikeda (http://ikedaquotes.org)
Rowena Murillo That's nice. I don't practice anymore, but I grew up in Nicheren Shoshu and it has definitely informed who I am.
Rowena Murillo I mean, that's a nice quote, monica. I didn't mean to sound sarcastic.
Monica Ong Reed That's cool. It's really informed my life too, especially as an artist/designer. I encountered the practice as a teen via SGI and it really got me thinking about how the arts can help people live beautifully. BTW, I love your posts - you have an excellent aesthetic.
