Beautiful picture book about confronting our unfinished business rather than letting it haunt us. Powerful for children and adults alike.

I enjoyed reading this so much. It also made me so grateful I'm having my first baby at 27 and not 73.

Accessible and achievable mature wisdom on marriage by Drs Cloud and Townsend. Don't let the cheesy cover fool you, this little book is great.

Re-reading this for the 3rd time in anticipation of the movie premier :)

Formulaic YA trilogy: Crazy government rules, strong female lead, tricky love triangle. Looking forward to Part 2.

For decades, Kooser composed a poem and mailed it on postcards to hundreds of women for Valentines Day. Short, clever, and above all, sweet poetry.

read this while also listening to a lot of "In an Aeroplane over the Sea". Made for a very Holocaust-themed Oct 2011.

Katie Shields I've heard good things about this book. Would you recommend it?

Profile picture of Ruthie Weiglein

Ruthie Weiglein Yes, it's good. Kinda quirky and narrated by Death and all, but good.

Recently read this for the first time. "No one has ever told you who you are? You're a wizard, Harry! And a darn good one, too."

Anne Lamott's journal of her son's first year. Candid, irreverent and sincere.

Ruthie Weiglein Her anxiety stressed me out. Loved the community she built though.

Loved this book about ambition and art galleries by Steve Martin. I had no clue he wrote fiction! Share some of the talent, senor!

Mika from Morning Joe discusses how to ask for what your worth as a woman in the workplace-- while juggling all your other important roles in home and life.

One of my favorite pastimes: reading a book and then going to see it in film with gorgeous people in it. (Edward looks much better with blood flowing through him.) This movie stayed true to the book, great all around.

Young Adult Fiction: Mean Girls meets US Weekly written by the ladies of the snarky fashion blog Go Fug Yourself. Totes enjoyable.

If you want to read a self-help book, this one is worth all the time and effort. It is like 6 months of therapy jammed into 10 chapters. I can't recommend Dr. Henry Cloud enough!

Southern Vampire Series. A bit more campy than the Volvo-driving bloodsuckers. (aka Trueblood)

Short stories written for his daughter. In my favorite one a house falls in love and is so happy that it paints itself.

Beautiful children's book based on the EE Cumming's poem with the same name. Sweet picture book showing an NYC family get their christmas tree.

These were written for a 14 year old RuthA, can I get a "Hellz Yeah"??

Great advice on how to have a mature marriage and "turn towards" your spouse every chance you get.

Some of my favorite writers and thinkers are vegan. Some meals I am too.

Practice celebrating everything.

Learning to take the good with the bad makes everything sweeter.

What if God didn't call you to try to be like Him, but to be more like you? If God designed you, won't learning to be who you were created bring you closer to God?

Fully illustrated and annotated story of a boy cartographer who hobos across America.

You WILL pee your pants laughing. Or I guess I should say "shit your pants" har har...

Looking forward to seeing this in the theater when it inevitably becomes a feature film.

Margaret Meadors I liked this book too - read in one sitting!

You know, tightrope walking, post 9/11 NYC allusions, grief and loss.
