Mandy Dupuis You need to leave the paper on. And the original ones were left outside in the summer sun...so it was done more slowly and organically. When using the blow dryer you must keep the dryer on the crayons and not the drippings or it will dry the drippings too quickly and splatter them. The wrappings must stay on though for sure. And I like the idea of replacing the melted crayons with unmelted ones at the end...good idea.
Jessica Bryant Washable crayons melt really easily. Not sure if that helps.
Darcy Coulson i did this on a glass vase and i used my everyday blow dryer on high and kept it really close to the crayons, with the paper on. it turned out great but it dry fast so make sure you keep it on for a while for it to melt because when i moved the heat off the crayon thats when it started to slide down the glass.
Jessika Siroonian yea you need to leave the wrappers on and having the hair dryer on low works better, even though it takes longer.
