Easter

you fill up loads of plastic Easter eggs with treats (or other items) and make some little signs that say, “You’ve been Egged.” Then you go hide the plastic eggs all over a friend’s front yard and leave a little note telling them they’ve been egged!

Cute decorative chocolate Easter bunny.

Very sweet basket made from paper grocery bags.

Tater Tots & Jello - Easter Sign maybe next on my list.

He is risen!! Cover the bottom of a shallow pot with pea gravel. Use a small clay pot as the empty tomb, covering it with dirt. Scatter shade grass seeds. Add large stone. Spritz with water often. Takes 7-10 days to grow.

We hid plastic Easter eggs with candies all over their yards and then left this note on the doorsteps as we rung the doorbells and ran.

Real grass for Easter centerpiece. Start 10 days before Easter. You'll need: Cellophane or piece of plastic, Grass seed (any rye/wheat), Vermiculite, Basket, Clean spray bottle, Water, A sunny window. Cut cellophane/plastic large enough to line basket plus stick out over the top edge by about one inch. If you use colored cellophane, it adds a nice decoration to the edges of the basket. Make sure you use one piece to prevent leaking. Fill with vermiculite. Vermiculite is much lighter than soil, and is available at gardening departments. It also stays moist easily. Cover the top with the seed, sprinkle a 1/4 inch layer of vermiculite over the seed, and water it with the spray bottle. Mist the seed every day. In about 10 days you will have a good covering of grass, so start your grass 10-12 days before Easter.

I must remember this at Easter. To color the whites (after eggs have been boiled and yolks removed): Fill glass containers about half-full of water, and then add food coloring to each one to get the shades you desire. Adjust the amount of food coloring, depending on the intensity of the color you desire. Place the egg halves in the water, making sure that the entire surface of each egg is covered. Let the eggs sit at least one hour until you achieve the desired effect. Remove the eggs from the water and place them onto paper towels or wire rack to dry.
