1/4" Mt Dew in bottle, add tiny bit of baking soda and 3 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide. Shake and it glows. Pour on sidewalk to "paint"
Calm Down Jar. It is really easy to make. The goal is that when they are feeling out of control, they shake the jar, then sit and watch the glitter settle in the water. When the glitter settles, they can get up. This one is a really great technique to use in lieu of timeout.

"Name Skeletons" Look closely: students folded white paper in half, wrote their names in cursive, and cut out around their names - this formed the body. They added the head, arms, and legs then mounted their "name skeletons" on black construction paper! - What a fun idea!

Sponges soaked in finger paint. Stops children from scooping huge balls of paint on their paper! GENIUS!
fine motor color matching. Bet it'd work with upper and lower case letter matching too.
I LOVE this idea. Make a wipe-off placemat for each kid to sit down and draw out their day while I cook dinner. Then it gives us something to talk about while we eat!
