It’s a Long Way to Sedona - I love landscape photographs where although it’s a still image, the clouds appear to be moving. I know that may sound silly, because clouds are moving, but hopefully you understand what I mean.

Justin’s Kicks - Every since I was younger, photographing bands and musicians, I always photographed their feet. There is something about the sneakers, wires and pedals on a stage floor that are so appealing to photograph.

My appearance on the jpeg2RAW Podcast - On February 28, 2011 I was a guest on the jpeg2RAW Podcast. The podcast was recorded live, and was a lot of fun.

Transform A Similar Tone Photo Into An Abstract - We all have those photographs that make wonder why we took the picture or how we could salvage it. It’s inevitable that there will be a boring shot in a batch of great ones. I spent some time going through photos from a recent shoot at a beach.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Speedliner was in action during the 1950s and early 1960s. What I love about this train is how the leading line trim on the sides makes the train look in motion.

Picking A Destination Wedding Photographer - In August, 2011 I got married in Riviera Maya, Mexico. As a photographer, I was a bit worried about hiring a resort approved photographer because there was minimal way for me to get to know the options prior. All the websites were horrible and the portfolios were worse. After much debate and number crunching, we went with the option that provided the most photos and all the originals on DVD. Turns out that the package also included two albums.

Paint The White House - Thanks to George Clinton, whenever I hear or see The White House, I think of painting it black. Thanks P-Funk! Photographing The White House is no longer a simple task. When you approach the fence, you’re surrounded by tourists, police and you’re now a target by the snipers hiding on the roof.

Using The Surroundings - When you are photographing portraits on location, do not be afraid to use the surroundings. For this photograph, I asked the subject to stand comfortably against a tree, which was curved perfectly to blend with the human body.

Using Google Images To Remember Building Names - It is hard to remember the name of every building that has been photographed.  Fortunately there is a simple way to possibly figure it out.

Behind Door Number One - I photograph foreclosed homes for a company that flips houses. Many times the rooms are so boring that the photos do not warrant sharing. However on the other hand – there are sometimes photos worth processing in my own style.
