Ordinary people with the courage to say no. Hamburg,1936: In the crowd, one person refuses to raise his arm for the Nazi salute. The man was August Landmesser. He had already been in trouble, sentenced to two years hard labour for marrying a Jewish woman. He had two children, one of whom recognized her father in this photo when it was published in 1991.
