Cleaning fruit - fill sink with water, add 1 C. vinegar, mix. Add all fruit and soak for 10 minutes. Water will be dirty and fruit will sparkle with no wax or dirty film. Great for Berries too--keeps them from molding.

This is the BEST baby or toddler food! I puree sweet potatoes. Then add spinach, zucchini, one banana, 3 eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon and oats. Bake it up like pancakes. For your baby, break into small bite sizes. Toddlers can eat them whole. bit.ly/HqvJnA

Tomato Paste Saver: Most recipes call for only a small portion of tomato paste -- you use a tablespoon or two, and the rest invariably goes to waste. To save the remainder: Carefully open both ends of the can with a can opener. Remove one metal end, and discard it. Leave the other in place. use evaporated milk in place of heavy cream. Same consistency less fat. I'm not so worried about the fat but when i forget cream i don't get to make a lot of my favorite staple dinners so this is good to know!
