Years of hard work, people. Best way to write something worthwhile.

This would be perfect in a kitchen. But what am I talking about? I'm never in a kitchen.

For if I ever get a landline.

Perfect place to display all my junk.

Too bad this is a single lightbulb, but this is an awesome idea.

A TV easel is kind of the most genius idea ever.

I want this desk. I don't know where the hell I'd put it, but I want it nonetheless.

I must figure out how to make chandeliers like this.

Homemade scrabble art. Clever office idea!

Like this. I love the look of this pendant lamp.

A few years ago I would have been all over this, but now I'm trending more toward industrial/reclaimed. Still, this is keeping in theme with my sylvan obsession.

For the library/reading nook in my fantasy mansion.

Everything from Restoration Hardware. Everything.

To also go in the nautical themed bathroom.

French nautical sconce. Would be awesome in the bathroom that goes with Old World steamer travel bedroom in my imaginary mansion.

I want everything from Restoration Hardware. Why am I not a gazillionaire?

I am loving this Old World steamer travel look.

Apparently I just want to live in a more whimsical version of the Ewok village.

The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart. Not only is this a fantastic cover, it's a fantastic novel as well. It's a prep school novel, but more than that, it's a novel about privilege and feminism and trying to find your own way. EXCELLENT.

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. I love the cover here, but I also love the entire book package. Beveled edges! I am in love.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. This cover perfectly encapsulates the feel of the book. Also, I love how gorgeous it is as a work of standalone art!

Larkstorm by Dawn Rae Miller. I am, indeed, a sucker for illustrated covers. I love illustrated covers! They should be back in vogue, I say.

In my continuing bid to live like I'm camping in an attic all the time.

Sensu Brush: smart tool combines a rubber-tipped digital stylus with a capacitive paintbrush in a single, sleek, silver package that gives you all the feeling and responsiveness of a real brush without the mess. Available in May. I WANT ONE. I WANT SO BAD.

Going Bovine by Libba Bray Oh god, this book cover. It freaks me out. In the best way possible. (It's also WONDERFULLY representative of the contents inside.)

Horten's Miraculous Mechanisms by Lissa Evans Middle grade books tend to have cover elements I adore: black and white ink drawings, handlettering, etc. This one is delightful.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke I'm a huge fan of the starkness and the early 19th century-ness of the typeface.

The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan God, everything. Such a great cover. (And a great book.)

The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides I love graphic/illustrative covers more than photographic ones, and this one is kind of perfect. I love the Mobius strip ring and the handlettering.

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly (I think people are probably starting to get a sense of the look I love in book covers.)

Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan Incidentally, the same artist who did the Evolution of Calpurnia Tate. I LOVE THIS. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. BEST COVER EVER!!!!!!

The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate What did I say about papercut silhouettes?

A Greyhound of a Girl by Roddy Doyle I love the strong typographic elements, the papercut silhouettes...everything.

ALL THE BOOKSHELF PORN EVER. Practically NSFW.

I found a Photoshop brush that pretty closely recreates what it's like to sketch with graphite, so I drew a quick sketch of a sad Corliss (referencing David Tennant because...everything should reference David Tennant).

Why can't I art like this? I must study up on how to draw backgrounds.
