To trim bangs, comb dry hair smooth, then hold scissors so that the tips point up at a slight angle and trim a bit at a time. Don't snip horizontally, which can lead to overcutting.

Julia Ippolito I do this almost every day. The trick is to dry your roots almost completely and get most of the moisture out of the rest of your hair because once twisted, the inside bits take forever to dry. Also, twist 2 inch sections of hair (I have 5 twists in the end, if your hair is thick, you'll have 7 or 8) I dry each twist into place and then do my makeup, dress, eat breakfast and just shake it out when I'm ready to leave the house.
