Add baking soda to the water when you hard boil eggs. It raises the pH of the water and makes them easier to peel by reducing the albumen's ability to stick to the shell.

Emily Boyd I need to buy a new pot of this, it's great at taking stains off of the kitchen counters, rings from wine glass, tumeric stains, one from tin cans and wet pots. It's the only way I've managed to easily to get them out.
Household Tip : Dryer Sheet as Iron Cleaner : Remove gunk from the soleplate of an iron. With the setting on low, rub the iron over the dryer sheet until the residue disappears, and you're left with a pristine press.

Car Wax as Garden Shear Lubricant: For cleaner cuts with less elbow grease, rub a little paste on the hinge of a pair of garden shears so they don’t get jammed.

Using a candle warmer, melt your favorite scent, then pour into an ice cube tray. Freeze for about 20 minutes until hard and pop right out. Hello Scentsy refills!

Keep Out the Ants To avoid a household of unwanted guests who come looking for food and water, make a nontoxic, homemade repellent. Pour equal amounts of water and white vinegar into a spray bottle, and shake to mix. Then spritz the solution in water-resistant areas where ants are common, such as kitchen floors or the crevices in painted baseboards from which the pests often enter. You can also use the repellent outside, spraying patios, porches, and picnic tables before family and friends gather.

Sprinkle a little on the shirt’s underarms and collar, then iron to prevent sweat stains on white shirts. The powder forms a barrier that keeps oil and grime from seeping into the threads.

Cooking Spray as Candlestick Cleaner.... spray the inside of the votive holder with a thin coating of cooking spray before dropping in a tea light. After the candle has burned down, the remaining wax will slip out. (thanks real simple)

Baking soda has scrubbing power but won't scratch surfaces. Mix a paste of 3 parts warm water to 1 part baking soda to scrub kitchen stains or clean the oven. Make a bathroom cleanser by mixing dishwashing liquid with baking soda until you have a thick paste

A bundle of chalk hung in a closet will absorb extra moisture and keep clothing fresh and dry, and takes up much less room than an electric dehumidifier. Worth a try...
