Green turtle, Chelonia mydas, under a coral.
Image of Agelaius phoeniceus from eol.org. Apparently red-winged blackbirds are really common but I did a double-take when I saw two this morning crossing the 14th St. Bridge.
Mollusca, again. I'm sure it has a specific name, but so pretty!!
Cuttlefish Metasepia pfefferi - not only do they look great, this one has one of the best binomial names ever.

Our knowledge of the many life-forms on Earth - of animals, plants, fungi, protists and bacteria - is scattered around the world in books, journals, databases, websites, specimen collections, and in the minds of people everywhere. Imagine what it would mean if this information could be gathered together and made available to everyone – anywhere – at a moment’s notice. eol.org
