"This is without a doubt the worst LIFE cover of all time. If you were a certain kind of person, you'd argue that it stirs up fundamental questions like, 'What is the meaning of 'chicken' or 'photograph' or 'magazine cover'?' I, however, just think it's so bad it's good. Now please excuse me while I begin my Ph.D. thesis on the sociological merits of Jersey Shore." -- Michael Y. Park

Jann John WOW, Sandy Kelley...well said. I'm in total agreement with all of it. Get ready for the firestorm of comments!.....and if I'm not mistaken and will research it, Gloria Steinem is now married and no longer feels how she did back then...too bad, too late.
Laura Beach Sandy just shut up like a woman should
Maureen Sherrill She's a widow now. That's a lot of anger directed at a woman that did a lot for the womankind.
Cindy Fowler Sad to see such nasty comments on my personal board. Shes on my pin board because she's important to my life. She changed the world for the better for me and other woman of my generation. Believe me, I'm anything but simple minded. I would be honored to meet her, have a civil conversation amongst two women, and thank her for her courage. I'm thankful to live in a country where woman can be anything they want to be, do anything, and say anything, Ms. Steinem helped make that a reality. She's still one of my heroes. Thank you Gloria.
Maureen Sherrill Bravo, Cindy. Well said. To say women had children out of wedlock and left their husbands because of her is an insult to the intelligence of women. I know a lot of young men that have turned out very well because of the enlighten women. And,I can open a door for myself.
