All Pratchett's books are wonderful. So funny, so clever. And nobody does wordplay better.

Why Hollywood hasn't turned this into a movie is beyond me.

The Last Continent It's hot. It's dry. And there's a champion sheep shearer, horse rider, road warrior, beer drinker, bush ranger and someone who'll even eat a Meat Pie Floater when he's sober. A man in a hat, whose Luggage follows him on little legs, who's about to change history by preventing a swagman stealing a jumbuck by a billabong. Of course.

I have read about 30 or so of the Discworld novels, I just can't get enough of them...I get viscerally excited when I know there is a new book coming out!

Milton Keynes is a new city approximately halfway between London and Birmingham. It was built to be modern, efficient, healthy, and, all in all, a pleasant place to live. Many Britons find this amusing. -Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Good Omens

An excellent answer to the age-old question: Which Discworld book should I read first?

I love seeing someone else's visual representation of the characters.

Discworld reading order - very helpful for those who want to read the series but have no idea where to start. I recommend starting with the Watch novels!

The definitive Discworld Reading Order Guide (new and updated and 100% better tasting!). Excellent for anyone who wants to get into the series though I disagree that you have to start with one of the "starter books" - I started with "Mort" from the Death series and had no problem following along, each is stand-alone enough, though more inside jokes will be clear if you read each sub-series in order.

The first book in the discworld series. Follows Rincewind and Twoflower through Ankh-morpork.
Camels. Assassins. Rulers. How could one resist?
