Supplies: scissors, yellow and orange construction paper, white construction paper, half of an orange, yellow paint, clear glitter, glue ---Cut a supply of yellow and orange paper triangles to use for sun rays. Allow the orange half to dry for several hours, Dip the orange half in yellow paint and then press a print onto the white paper. Sprinkle the wet paint with glitter. Let it dry. Cut out the print. Glue yellow and orange triangles onto the back of the print to resemble sun rays.

Summer Craft: octopus To make the body of this sea creature, trace a five-inch circle near the top of a large sheet of construction paper. To make the arms, position one hand so that your wrist is at the bottom of the circle and your fingers are spread apart below it. Trace your four fingers. Then reposition your fingers to resemble four more octopus arms and trace them again. Cut out the resulting octopus.
