what a fab idea -> reusable snapping paper towels by mamamade
118 likes 8 comments 662 repins
Stacy of KSW hey Kari, I thought about the snaps too and how I may not always be the greatest about reassembly ... but I think my kids might actually like to do it! And they probably arent much different than tea towels, but great for my extended family members who come over and don't understand why we don't use paper towels. At least I would have something familiar to them for them to use :)
Kate Hutchings I have ones like this and LOVE them. LOVE.
K P @Janine Bomboy Here you go...your life just changed!
Janine Bomboy Yes it did!!!!!!
Gemma Callahan Stacy, the idea of having them for your family is genius and thoughtful. My sis never knows what to use when she visits and this would be a great alternative.

Tawney Stedman @Stacy That is so cool, where do you type in "noteshelf" or is that an app?
Stacy of KSW Hey Tawney, yes Noteshelf is an app. It's a bit expensive, $4.99. But the uses are endless - I use it for note taking, meal planning, list making, doodling/journaling and more.
Tawney Stedman @Stacy Thank you!! I will definitely check it out!!

Crystal McCamley i draw fish in my kids shoes. if they're kissin, then they're right
Christy Ruppert Brilliant!
Charliene Damore I've got to tell you - I used to draw smiley faces to where they had to be "looking at" each other before my son put his shoes on. That child! He would put them facing each other, except the shoes themselves were facing HIM. Then he'd pick up each shoe, turn it around, and slip it on his foot - wala, he still got them on the wrong feet! lol That could happen with these too, if the child faces the shoes toward them before placing them on their feet!
Carri Gorrell Im going to do that right now!!!
Pam Myrick My grandson used to wear his cowboy boots on the wrong feet, it hurt me to look at him!! LOL

DIY fabric softener. So simple.
62 likes 7 comments 542 repins
Lauren Ballew I've been doing this for months & haven't had a problem yet!
Kristin Traugott-Hackbart That's weird that your clothes smelled funny because ours still smell ok and we aren't even using fabric softener right now
Melanie Chadwick No, they (the soaked fabric sheets) got a stinky smell (like when clothes are left in the wash too long) before they had a chance to dry all the way...maybe I over soaked them? I don't know, but it grossed me out.
Suzi Campbell Soaked fabric sheets? I thought this "recipe" was for liquid fabric softener. I have not tried it yet. But excited too.
Melanie Chadwick Sorry. I guess someone stole this original picture and used it for another recipe to make reusable fabric softener dryer sheets. The recipe I was referring to was another pin, it had this same picture, but was a different link.

Susan Parisi What is it?
Marilyn Oliver Looks like a bird feeder to me.
Stacy of KSW Oops .... forgot to put that part on there :) Yes, it's a birdfeeder
Allyson Susko Clever recycling. I think the kids and I will have to make some of these! Thanks!
Laura M I like the simplicity of it, but I'd definitely have to use chain instead of twine or the squirrels would have it on the ground in no time… some holes in the bottom too. Good idea!
A bundle of paint stirrers, each painted with a wall color from your home, carry along to match fabrics, etc. to your wall colors-or for a smaller version use popsicle sticks! Really smart.

Krazy Ketchup Great idea!!
Amanda Sasser @Heather Smith Sasser what do you think?
Janel We made this last week - it doen't hold a lather as long as store bought soap and has the consistency of egg whites. We used a bar of Yardley soap, not sure if a different brand of soap would work differently.
Rosanna I tried this as well and got the same results as posted above. The consistency was like egg whites, but it sure smells good!

Neater Feeder: keeps dog food off the floor & water from spilling over
15 likes 5 comments 217 repins
Stacy of KSW Sorry for the repins, I dont like it when the image doesn't show up ... getting one of these for my inlaws for Christmas. They come in different sizes for different breeds, there is a cat one too
Jessi Champion we have one for both our dog and our cat and we love them!
Ashley Poindexter Be sure to wash the bottom tray out every few days, though! Food crumbles fall down in the tray and when the pet water overflows into the tray, it creates MOLD!! Def. not healthy for the sweet dog/cat. Otherwise, I love mine (and so does the cat). It also prevents the animal from "playing with their food". My cat loved to use her paw to scoop out food and play with it all over the floor. Its impossible to do now with this bowl.
Jennifer J must get this for my Mastiff!
Emily Elliott Got it! Worth every penny.

when you open the drawer you can see all your clothes :)
14 likes 7 comments 436 repins
Amber Isborn This is awesome. I recently did our drawers like this. A little hard to maintain though, which I understand for my 4 year old. I did think my 11 year old could keep it nice, but his is worse than the 4 year old! And don't get me started on my hubby. LOL It is a great idea though, as long as I am the one putting away all the laundry. :)
Grace Bost I can't even imagine how you could just get one shirt out and keep it neat. I stack mine like that, easier and you can still see them
Michelle Retzer This worked out really well for our family. It was easier to find the clothes.
Rebecca 'Wolff' Whitfield Love this. I have been doing this for probably a dozen or so years - since middle school. I do it for my husband and he was amazed when we got married that there was a way to see all his shirts at one time. : )
Mussarat Ahmad @regina cole - use smaller baskets in drawers and then they stay like that and don't fall down! Also easier for little ones or messy pups as only a few in each basket so easier to remove without messing up.

Scrub cast iron skillets with coarse salt and a soft sponge. The salt, a natural abrasive, absorbs oil and lifts away bits of food while preserving the pan's seasoning. Rinse away salt and wipe dry.

Regi Schnickelfritz Does this work on stoneware too?
Candice Buchanan Just tried this on my stoneware and it worked like a charm!!
Kate El Idrissi Although really you want all those oils to help keep your cast iron pan non stick... you should only wipe it out with paper towel..
Ok this is genius. Reuse a milk jug by popping this pouring tool on. It's called, "Sprout."
