Digitalthread ugh... why would you want to put the energy of the word "killer" in your mouth over and over again... even ironically. sigh.
Folding for Peace is a white paper garden in Nagasaki, Japan realized by Swiss designer Anouk Vogel. The patch of faux flowers are aligned in a circular bed, angelically standing tall and vibrant against a naturally viridescent backdrop.

The Story Behind the Hemlock. The story is insane on so many levels. First of all, the treehouse is illegally on "Crown land," or what's known as State land in the US—government-protected forests. Secondly, Allen had to hand-carry all of the materials out to the site (and carry the construction waste back out to fulfill his goal of keeping the site as pristine as possible). Thirdly, when his construction was interrupted by helicopter traffic from the nearby Olympics, he had to dismantle it

When we go to the supermarket, we get to pick from a huge variety of products. What we didn’t know however is how limited our choice actually is. Pepsico for example owns KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Pepsi, 7UP, Tropicana, Lays, Doritos, Cheetos & Ruffles to name a few. Many products that compete are owned by the same corporation.

Leandro Machado great work
Ari Maguire Awesome. An iPhone adaptation of this concept would be great.
Joshua Cappuccilli the iPad is still a device to consume media - the people who are able to use it to produce or create are the exception - not the rule. The lack of a keyboard is not the only limitation that hurts the iPad. The lack of ability to multitask on the same screen is a killer - not being able to work with two "windows" or tabs at the same time slows everything down. The device is ACES for reading, music, movies and facebook - but when I need to type anything longer than a FB post I am going to a real computer. The lack of flash is probably the next major hindrance to the iPad being a producer instead of a consumer - many web design tools are flash based, posting pictures on craigslist - flash based, flash is too common for apple to turn its back on and hope the device with ever reach it's full potential.

A tenacious toddler from Hamelin (Hameln), Germany gave his mother a terrific shock when he bicycled across town by himself to visit his sick grandmother. Two-year-old Noah Joel's mother thought he was playing in his room when the tiny toddler gave her the slip. With his backpack filled with his favorite candy, Noah hopped on his toy bicycle and set off to see his ailing granny who is in the hospital.

Did you know that by the year 2015 the world’s Helium is due to run out?
31 likes 3 comments 42 repins
Beth Seeber Do we live it up now, helium-party-in-my-living-room - or try to stockpile it?
Danielle Dicks If you do some research, the helium will not actually be completely used up by 2015, the U.S. government was just planning to sell off their stockpile by then. But even that isn't going to happen.
Danielle Dicks it's all very interesting stuff though

Buying underwear on kickstarter? Seems odd but Flint and Tinder is a project led by Jake Bronstein that is going to manufacture high end underwear here in the US for about $10 per pair. For each 1000 pair they sell they will be able to employ back 1 employee. Looks like a great project and product.
