Forest Stair in Stokke Sculpture Park This sculptural installation was designed for the Sti For Øye sculpture park in Stokke, set amongst the Vestfold oak forest to the West of Oslo. Working with landscape architect Rainer Stange in order to create the infrastructure for a woodland walk past a series of artists' installations, Saunders proposed a series of steel and wooden walkways set at the highest point of the site, looking east towards a castle.

At first you are like: “Oh noes!!!! another flooded masterpiece” (like Mies’ Farnsworth House)! This house sits on the banks of the river Loddon, near Wargrave in England. According to John Pardey Architects, the concept was based on three elements: living, guest and bedroom spaces, to create “wings” that adopt a pinwheel form, and are raised up on columns to deal with river flooding.
