Anne Cramer As a long-time veil designer, I don't believe there is a term. It is probably held in place by a comb, fairly simple to design, and nice with pearls or gems

Torrie Gass Birdcage veils are lovely and I agree, classic looking. They were popular in the 30's/40's and looked classy back then too! :)
LK exactly, they're classic and vintage. but regardless, if the hats and veils were my thing in the 70s and thats what I was into I wouldn't have regretted it. I'd rather have my own personality into things even if they do go out of style than go "classic" and not feel like myself.
Cristina Watkins yeah for me the trend of birdcage doesn't matter...i knew birdcage would suit me way more and when i tried each on, the full veil just didn't look right at all.

Venessa Watkins there is nothing more iconic to me than the father raising and putting back the blusher! I could cry right now just thinking about how sweet it is!
Jemma Bigham traditionally the veil is symbolic of the brides virginity, the husband raising the veil to kiss her symbolises him taking her virginity... creeps me out when the FOTB does it!!

Susan Olmstead I don't think it's actually intertwined. The left side has that fabric wrapped around the bottom as well. I think it's just an illusion. Her veil is just blowing in the wind.
