Pieces I actually own, plus a record of where I wore them, whenever possible.
I have the silver, gold and white with gold trim, so half the Jack Rogers sandals in this pic. I also have two pairs of red, pink shahgreen, lime suede, khaki with black trim, pink with gold trim, camel with turquoise inlaid stones, both bronze and black wedges, platinum kitten heels...annnd I'm fairly certain I've forgotten a pair or two.

Nine West "Nathania" | "Satin peep toe pump with glitter covered heel. Buckle closure at ankle. 5'' heel with 1 1/4'' platform." | I wore these to the midnight Easter service, 2012. Not a wise choice for a four hour liturgy, but they're gorgeous, even if the ankle strap is shockingly difficult to fasten.
It's not in my closet anymore, but I once wore this to a swanky big law party in Manhattan. I loved that skirt. It was Jessica McClintock, IIRC.

J.Crew Light Camel Chamonix Shearling Boots | I know these are obnoxious, but I *love* them. I live in them when it's cold. Whenever I wear them, people ask where they can buy them. They're cute, unique (I've never seen another pair) and comfy. Too bad J.Crew discontinued them three years ago. I've got an extra pair squirreled away, but after that, it might be mukluks.

I own this Sher Singh cricket shirt. It's the only thing I've ever purchased from Exclusively.In. I've never worn it, not sure if I will.
Eliza J's "Rosette Bodice" Shantung Dress in Navy. I cut off the straps on 12/31, so it's now strapless--and a bit more mature looking, I think. It was this year's NYE dress (though I had worn it once before, to a very special event at the Kennedy Center). I just pinned the front view, too, so this is 2/2.

This year's NYE dress (which I had worn once before, to a very special event at the Kennedy Center). I cut off the spaghetti straps so it was strapless for December 31. Eliza J's "Silk shantung dress with a full, box-pleated skirt is adorned with a collection of rosettes at the fitted bodice, enhancing the texture-rich look." Pin 1/1-- I'm pinning back view, too.

Hunter HUNTRESS Womens Wellington Boots in green. I don't use these as much because I prefer the height of my Hunter originals-- that and I need to deal with the blooming on these. If you're curious about the difference between regular Hunters (which are unisex) and these: - these are slightly shorter - the calf is wider - easier to tuck jeans in - they're for women.
I love wellies. I have six pairs, but these are my favorites. A lot of people in D.C. have Hunters (especially in Georgetown, where I lived when I bought mine). I didn't want the same black or slate pair that everyone else seemed to have, so when I was ordering them, and I couldn't decide between glossy red or glossy navy, I looked up and saw my Theory purse in metallic silver. I realized it was versatile enough that I had used it all summer long with my matching Jack Rogers. Decision made. These get a lot of attention and now that I wear a belted down coat with gold hardware, I'm anal enough that I wish I had chosen differently, but they're awesome. And anyway, that's what a third pair is for, right? ;) At least when I go places, I'm the only one wearing them in silver. :)

Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique Sleeveless Stretch Satin Sheath Dress. I had it in black; I wore it to the 2009 Atlantic Media holiday party.

Yeah, since the black version of these were such a hit, I bought the red, after years of scouring the interwebs for them, since that's my color. :) This edition came in a third colorway, a beige/khaki sort of shade, but I'm not obsessed with those.
Tory Burch - Channing 2007-2008. These shoes have become my signature. I bought them on a whim a few years ago, thinking they were cute, without realizing how many things they'd go with. I got compliments on them nearly every time I wear them, by Tory lovers and people who've never heard of her. Unfortunately, they're no longer available and nearly impossible to find, even second-hand-- which is why I hoarded two additional pairs in my size. When something works well, I go with it. :)
This is the wallet I use every day; it is the best wallet I've ever had. I can fit my phone in it, if need be and it has the perfect number of card slots and receipt pockets. I have MOO cards and cough drops in the interior zip pocket that is meant for spare change. Love. Mine is black with silver logo and zip, can't find a picture of it, so this will do. That and I would've gotten this one instead in a heartbeat. Red is my color. :)

This is not the exact coat, but close enough. Last year, one of my three "new" winter coats looked like this, but in the most gorgeous, pure red. I got asked about it everywhere I went, even though it was the cheapest of the three (the other two were winter white and black).
Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Mini Quinn Bag: This grab-and-go bag will go everywhere with us. Pebbled leather handbag with turn-lock closure at front flap and turn-lock pockets at sides. Banding and stud detail at flap and pockets. Silver hardware. Double handles. Lined interior features zipper pocket and 2 patch pockets. (mine is pewter metallic)
Schoolboy velvet blazer. I have the odd brownish-green color pictured as well as black. I was obsessed with the former in late 2010; I wore it with pinpoint oxfords, jeans and boots. I regret buying the black now. I only wore it once; it looks too formal during the day and didn't go with whatever I wore at night (I guess I'm not preppy after 9).

Nolita jacket from J.Crew. I've only worn it twice. I think I bought it while overwhelmed with nostalgia; I had a Guess jean jacket in high school and a Polo denim one in college, both of which were beloved.

I have navy and red. Purchased both on a whim, never realized how useful they'd be. I love wearing them with charm bracelets for some reason.
Plaza coat with Thinsulate®. I have it in this color/camel and also winter white.
...my current Lady Day is "Sea Salt" or off-white. Both coats are the Thinsulate version.
Last year's dress for NYE at the Willard. I'm not a huge fan of the one-shoulder trend, but it was cute enough and oddly super-comfortable (always helpful when you're out all night).

Houndstooth dress by Jessica Simpson. I know. I don't care that it's from JS, the dress is gorgeous. I can't summon a single negative thought towards her, I love this dress that much. I wore it first to a speaking engagement (my topic: social media); then I just looked for excuses to wear it again. Love.

Amy Henson I just bought this frock, it is truly a quality garment.
Silk taffeta Lorelei dress from J Crew. I have black, hot pink and that trendy, iridescent "gr-eige" color. Wore hot pink to Matt's wedding and greige to wedding in Cape Cod this summer.

What I wore to Brett's wedding. Taryn dress in silk chiffon: A great new strapless silhouette that's soft and romantic in floaty silk chiffon with a delicate crinkled texture (it drapes beautifully on the body, so it's incredibly flattering too). Leg lengthening with a slightly shorter hem, it features a twisted bodice and a softly pleated empire waist.

Metallic Lace Bodice Sleeveless Dress by Taylor Dress. I wore it to an evening service at church, once.
Fetching pins…
Anushya Gomes I want a pair of these! But, I'm pretty boring, so I'll probably end up getting them in basic black :)
Anna John @Anushya Gomes Get the glossy black ones! They're pure class. :) Most people around here have the dull, matte-black pair. Also, if you get the more feminine Huntress instead of these unisex ones, I think they only come in black, navy and green. Helps make your choice for you. ;)
Anna John p.s. You are pretty, but you are not boring. ♥
