Saving tomato paste: Carefully open both ends of the can with a can opener. Remove one metal end, and discard it. Leave the other in place. Wrap the entire can in plastic wrap, and freeze overnight. The next day, use the metal end to push the frozen paste out the open end. Discard can, tightly rewrap unused portion, and store in freezer up to 3 months, slicing off just as much as you need each time you cook. (found here: www.marthastewart...)

Every January, I turn all of the hangers in my closet backwards, like this. It takes about 60 seconds: Each time I wear an item, I hang it back up in the normal fashion, which takes zero effort to remember or do. In June, any item that is still hanging backwards has not been worn in 6 months, and I usually donate it to Goodwill unless I can come up with a good reason to save it.

Add some legos to your soap! I think marbles or gems would work too?

Vegetable Keep Sacks, small size is designed for garlic, the medium for onions, the large for potatoes. Made from a cotton and linen fabric that allows air to circulate but blocks out light to prevent sprouting. They have drawstrings with toggles for easy filling and dispensing.

Must try: 1. Identify areas of your wooden furniture that are unsightly because they have been bumped or scraped. 2. Get your walnut. 3. Rub the walnut on the damaged area. 4. Watch in amazement as the damaged area begins to darken.

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent 1 Cup of Borax 1 Cup Baking Soda (I used Washing Soda) 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt 1/2 Cup Citric Acid (You can purchase "Fresh Fruit" in the canning isle. It is a produce protector or you can puchase 15 packets of lemon Kool-aid, the unsweetened kind, and that works as well.) Mix all ingredients in a container and voila! dshwasher detergent! Use 1 Tbsp per load PLUS add some vinegar to the rinse aid portion of your dishwasher (this keeps the plastic from getting a cloudy look) and wash away!
